    DIY Cat Bandana

    03.05.2018 · create, diy · 0

Oh Icarus! I would have never thought a little grey tabby cat would turn me into a “cat lady.” I think I can legitimately call myself that now because of the number of DIY’s I’ve made for this cat and for even taking it to the next level and creating him photos with him over on Instagram!

There is no doubt that this cat is spoiled. When he sees me, he knows that lot’s of hugs, kisses and cuddles are to come. Then he will ever so slyly leads me to his food bowl!

When it comes to food for Icarus, I always look for products with wholesome and real ingredients. His current new obsession is the Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Longevity Chicken with Chickpeas & Salmon Recipe.  I’m loving it too because it contains a real superfood blend to give Icarus lifelong nutrition. I feel good knowing that I’m giving him the best for his heart, mind, and body.

It’s been easy introducing him to Nutrish® Longevity because of the delicious flavor. It’s made with real chicken plus wild caught salmon! Over the course of 7 days I’ve slowly incorporated it into his current food and now we have completely switched over and he is hooked! We bought ours easily online through Target.com and was able to pick up our order in a couple of hours.

Dry food is part of his daily nutrition but sometimes I like to treat him with something a little special like the Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® Purrfect Entrees™ Sea-Sational Florentine™ Recipe.  Icarus absolutely loves fish. Nutrish® Purrfect Entrees are yummy recipes made with wild caught salmon, white meat chicken, or yellowfin tuna. They also have little bits of veggies and are glazed in culinary sauce that is purrfect! ?

When it comes to feeding our pets, it’s our duty to give the the best. They rely on us to feed them so they continue cuddling, playing and getting into mischief. So be sure to choose food with wholesome ingredients, no artificial flavors, colors, or artificial preservatives.

    DIY Cat Bandana

Now after you treat your kitty to some yummy food, make this ultra cute personalized bandana! I love making things for Icarus because he’s my little fur baby! This took me around 30 mins to make with the longest part being the embroidery.

    SUPPLIES

    • 1/4 yard of fabric
    • thread
    • Bandana pattern
    • floss for embroidery
    • pins
    • scissors
    • sewing machine
    • 5/8 in. velcro

    [

    DIRECTIONS

    1. Print out pattern and place it along the fold of your fabric. Cut two. I used two different fabrics for this bandana.
    2. Embroider your pet’s name on the front piece.
    3. Place the fabric right sides facing in and pin together.
    4. Sew bandana leaving one end edge open so you can pull the fabric right side out.
    5. Pull your bandana right side out and hand stitch the opening closed with a Whip Stitch.
    6. Cut your velcro into small squares. One should be placed on the top of one end and the bottom of the other end. (disregard the picture below where they are both on top)

Icarus absolutely loves his new bandana! I think it came out so so cute and it was super easy to make.

I can’t wait to hear how this project turned out for you. Please send me pictures because I would love to see them. Also don’t forget to check Nutrish® Longevity and Nutrish® Purrfect Entrees to give your cat the best of the best. Find it at a store near you here.
