5 Ways to Save Money Shopping Online

    01.10.2018 · lifestyle · 0

5 Ways to Save Money Online Shopping. I save hundreds last year with these plugins and strategies!I love shopping! This is no secret but I’m also a frugal shopper as well. You will rarely see me purchase anything that is full price. I scour through the clearance section every chance I get, hold off on items I think will drop in price or that I really don need, and use coupons and cash back incentives all the time. Anyone relate???

On top of thrift shopping & shopping clearance in stores, I also shop online. It so easy to do and you can search deals and sales really easily. When I do shop online, I want to save every penny possible. So I wanted to share my favorite ways to save money online that are easy to use and can save you hundreds a year.

    NO. 1 EBATES

You’ve probably heard of this one already but it’s too good not to share if you don’t know! Ebates is a life saver and can save you so much while shopping online. All you have to do is sign up here and add the extension to your browser. Every time there’s a cashback savings it will blink and tell you how much. Just click and activate! Viola! Easy as that.

I downloaded Ebates last year and have earned $102.22 cash back. Another perk is that it also tells you which stores are giving the most cash back percentage and it will auto-fill any coupons it finds for that site! So freakin’ awesome!

    No. 2 WIKIBUY

Wikibuy is another plugin I use. It searches the internet for the best deals, gives you offers and coupons, and sometimes there’s cash back. I love having this extention on top of Ebates because sometimes there are different coupons. It tries all the coupons at checkout so you don’t have to manually enter each one to try.

I also love that it works on Amazon.com and tells you if the same product is available somewhere else at a lower price.

    No. 3 Honey

This extension is a little different from the others, it also tries coupons for you but let’s you add items to a “Droplist” that will monitor the price of the item and let you know when there is a price drop.

I recently added this Coleman 8-Person Tent to my droplist when it was $201.25. This price was really good given that it goes for $239.99 but I had a feeling it would drop more. Sure enough I got a notification that the price dropped to $179.39 and that’s when I made my move. After that it has gone up in price so I’m glad I jumped on the price drop. I saved a whopping $60 on this tent with the help of Honey.

    No. 4 Amazon Warehouse

Did you know that you can shop lightly used items on Amazon? Yep! If you go to the Amazon Warehouse you can find items sold 50% off or more because they were returned. Just be sure to read the description on why it was returned or being sold in the warehouse. It’s usually because packaging is open or small cosmetic imperfections that can be fixed. I literrally just found out about this a couple months back and it’s been a game changer for my Amazon shopping.

No. 5 Shop Sales, on Coupons, on Cash Back

Triple up on all of these to save the most. Look through sales and clearance sections, find coupons either through the extensions above or sites like retailmenot.com, groupon.com, or coupons.com. While double dipping you might also have Ebates telling you that there is a cash back. Other ways you can earn is signing up for free rewards programs. This type of system usually gives you points towards cash rewards which is free money. ???

So if you’re an avid online shopper like myself then be sure to take advantage of these programs and apps. Even if you don’t shop all the time, they are nice to have for when you do decide to make an online purchase.

What are some way that you like to save money online? I shared my secrets now it’s time to share yours! ?

Great picks! Honey is one of my faves! It’s not a cash maker or saver, but I love shopping through the airline’s portal too to get free airline miles!
