My Favorite Bullet Journal Pens + August Spread

    08.04.2017 · diy · 0

August is finally here and I’m going into my second month of bullet journaling. Over the last couple of months I’ve become so much more productive using a bullet journal.

It’s a way for me to tap into my creative side but also a way to stay organized and productive.

If you’re new to using a bullet journal then you’re still on the hunt for the perfect journal, pens, and writing tools. So I thought I would share my favorite so far.

    My Favorite Bullet Journaling Pens

    My August Bullet journal spread

This month my theme was watermelons. Summer is still in full effect and I thought it would be cute. I created the lettering but a dot technique I learned in this creative lettering book.

I colored my cover page with the Crayola Super Tips but next time I will use colored pencils or not as much color as they bled through a little (you’ll see on my next spread page).

NO. 1 Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pens

    Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pens

These pens are my favorite and my first brush pens. I’ve been practicing brush pen lettering and I’m really enjoying it.

This is an example of lettering using the finer of the two.

    NO. 2 Crayola Super Tips

    crayola super tips

Crayola Super Tips are my favorite for a number of reason. Firstly they are super cheap! $15 for 100 colors! Say what? Secondly you can use them for calligraphy and lettering.

Here are a couple of my pages using the Super Tips to do my lettering.

NO. 3 Stabilo Fine Point Color Pens

For finer lettering and details I love using the Stabilo fine point pens. They are perfect for small details and cursive writing. I used them to do my cursive writing in my journal.

My bullet journal experience so far has been successful. I will continue doing it for the rest of the year to see how it helps me with organizing my life and viewing trends in my mood and habits.

    Do you bullet journal?

What are some of your favorite supplies?

Let me know in the comments below. I would also love to see your monthly spread! 🙂

Thank you! It doesn’t have to this crazy and you don’t have to be super artsy to do it. 🙂
